The current coronavirus pandemic has created a significant increase in demand for food aid resources. People who were previously considered “at risk” for food insecurity have now fallen into need. We are taking action to provide food to those people that are at greatest risk of going without food during this period of uncertainty. This includes children who rely on school meal programs for breakfast and lunch, elderly and homebound individuals, and low-income households.
We need your help to ensure we have the required resources to meet this surge in demand for food aid. This means monetary donations, as well as manpower to collect, assemble, and deliver food. This is going to be a long haul and we are committed to providing food for the good folks of Mississippi as long as we have the resources to do it.
